Patti Wood

A lifelong Citrus County resident, I was honored to be the first baby born at Citrus Memorial Hospital in 1964. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband since 1985 and an amazing son, born in 1991.

My journey in cancer fundraising began after my husband was diagnosed with cancer in 1999 and thankfully declared cancer-free in May 2000. I joined a local Relay for Life team, eventually serving as team captain and event chair before joining the Citrus County chapter of the American Cancer Society.

In 2013, after serving as Board Chair, I joined colleagues in founding Citrus Aid Cancer Society. I am incredibly proud and grateful for the support our foundation has been able to provide to so many local families facing cancer. While I no longer serve as President of Citrus Aid Cancer Society, I am honored to continue serving on the Board and remain committed to helping our Citrus County community.
